The idea originated when I noticed that there were never any dolls at the beach. My two daughters always wanted to play with their dolls at the beach. The problem was that the sand got into the doll’s hair, water got into the doll’s body, and my daughters would get upset and the doll was basically ruined. Voila! The birth of Sandy The Beach Doll! It is a great activity doll and gives mom and dad time to enjoy their summer reading while their child is having fun with Sandy. And, equally as important, the child is able to take “a piece of the beach” home to remember and to treasure for years to come!
